anyone else missing motion based. i though all motion based stuff was ported to connect. i have same username on both, but now motion based is gone and i can't retrieve stuff prior to 2009. i went into mygarmin but did not see any way to fetch, hook up or look up motion based.

it was all moved into Garmin Connect. a couple of years ago. I think my last activity made the move back in 09 or something. Check the activities tab in Connect. All there. However, a couple of my files got messed up in the transfer, and I had to re-upload them.

However, if that happened and you don't have local copies of those files, then that's your fault.

i backed up the tcx files from my 2 computers at work. one puter still has training center on it with the events. my main computers i removed training center. i am gonna try and upload it now.

i think my home (wife's) puter needs to be backed up.

I'm getting a new wristband for my 405 (garmin foreunner). although i can't view routes on it, it will be my main road cycling and running device (unless they can breathe life into my 305). probably get a 500 one day for the road bike. on mtb delrone does the job but busted another ram mount in the cold

voila. connect would not accept my tcx file from connect of all my rides. now maybe i just try and load into training center and filter through til i can find what i want

i loaded the tcx back into training center, exported and put the ride on connect & every trail

That sucks that they finally took down the site and now redirect to garmin connect. Guess I should remove the MB link from my site then.

On MotionBased, you could quickly locate and download track files thru the search function.

With Connect, you have to go thru the pretty graphics. And it just takes too long to find the data you want/need. Perhaps they've made some improvements?

Oh well, once again we dumb it down for the masses and screw the power users!

If the files have all been moved over, I guess I'll have to give another look at Connect, though I'm sure I won't like it.
