Ride Report
Richard Eddy and I each managed to be at the Falcon lot 5 or 10 minutes before 6:AM this morning and we were riding by 6. I should mention that the "Flake Factor" was pretty high this session, since two of the guys (you know who you are) who were "in" phoned me last night with regrets. I guess Greg is having a hard time fitting riding into his tight "Got nothing to do till I head off to grad school" schedule, or maybe he's just practicing his sleeping in skills. Whatever it was, I'd like to hear about it sometime, since it was obvious he was phoning from some bar and didn't want to explain right then. He could only laugh and say "I um, I'm not gonna make it".
As we did the crank to the gazebo, the sun was just coming up over the hogback. At the top I suggested doing a loop, but it was already 6:40am or so. I couldn't sell it I guess because 6:AM is a bit of a late start for Richard, since he usually rides at 5:30am...And since he works in Golden can go ride Apex at lunch whenever he wants to. (yes, I'm jealous) Instead we traded our favorite South Park and Chapelle's show episodes and headed down.
It was a good ride, though as I sat in the middle of the 8:AM commuter traffic on C470 I kept telling myself that I should have done that loop up top to put me on the other side of the 8:AM commute. Next time.
Anyone up for Thursday?
