Oh, one or two...check here

Coopers, Big Bear are the closest. There's a couple in town I've heard about but haven't looked into yet.

When are you going to be here? I'd be happy to give you a tour of Coopers. ODN is more familiar w/ Big Bear than I, so I'm guessing that he'd be happy to show us both around there.

Davis is about an hour and a half from here.

I also just posted about a park I just heard about in the other thread. Want to do some exploring there.

Kanawha Forest is in Charleston, but if you're in town for a couple wks, then a day trip there on the wkend is worth it IMHO.

I can testify that both coopers and big bear are AWESOME. You are in for a treat that week.
Quebec Run was my favorite riding out there. I'd choose it over BB...if you have to choose...similar drive and you don't have to pay.

There's some less-traveled stuff across the interstate from Cooper's at Chestnut Ridge. In town, Baker's Ridge has enough stuff to keep you busy. I know they've done some development over there since I left, so I'm not sure how much of it is left.

Wamsley's is a great source of info for the days that ODN and crash can't show you around.
Thanks guys!

I'm working on getting my FS out of the bike shop.

But I'll head out there with my HT if I have to.

Weather here's been bad for riding...way too much rain.

Not that I mind riding in the rain, but I wouldn't want to damage the trails.

But I'm looking forward to getting out there.

I'll definitely touch base with you guys.

Looks like it'll be the week after next for sure.

You're obviously not familiar with West Virginia riding..... Hard to damage rocks and roots. We ride all the time, regardless of precipitation.

Ah yeah, WV pavement.
White park is a great place to get a short ride in. And it is located withing 2 miles of downtown morgantown.

Bakers ridge is a great single track within 2 miles of the stadium.

I wrote a review on this site about Baker's ridge.

PM me if you want more info.
Again, thanks guys.

Hittin' the trails tomorrow.
Just rode Coopers Rock.

3 letters; W.O.W!

Now I know what "flowing singletrack" is!

Only got to spend a couple of hours there,
but I'm coming back in about 2 weeks.

Got some pics at Rock City, but only on my camera phone.
Once I can download them, I'll post them.

Thanks for those of you who sent out invites.
This was a working trip, so my schedule was tight,
but next time, I'll be here soley for recreation.
Can't wait.

You guys have a beautiful backyard here.
Makes me homesick for New York.
I have to hit those trails upstate.

Glad you enjoyed it. It's dried out there in the last couple wks so you hit it at a good time.

Let me know when you'll be back out this way. Got alot going on right now, but if I can, I'll show you around there some. hell, if you got the time, we'll head to Charleston and if you thought Coopers was fun, you'll love Kanawha forest!

Thanks C&B!

I'm definitely heading back (strongly considering relocating there).
And, we (in NY) have been rained on now since the end of winter as well.
Still, nothing locally compares to Coopers.

Looking forward to riding with any of you guys who'll find the time.
Got a couple of invites this time, but my schedule was super tight.

I'll be back in 2 weeks for sure.

To quote Bachman Turner Overdrive, "You ain't seen nothing yet".
:D

Well, to quote that nutjob Russel Casse in Independence Day...

"Hello, boys! I'm back!"

ETA: 1 Week.

Are you just visiting again or did you decide to relocate?

Not only has the eagle landed, but he's nested!

I moved here.

:D
Welcome to WV. Have fun on the trails!
2 years later...I'm FINALLY making it back to Motown!
(had to move back to NY for work, but I'm back)
Anyway, nice little WVU win yesterday! Go 'Neers!

Will probably hang out a lot at White.
Cooper will be my mainstay.

Hope to see some of you on the trails.
