Don’t see any recent Moore Creek reports on TF. Given the sunshine in the forecast, any chance this will be rideable by tomorrow morning (Friday the 31st)?
I rode the connector, the shoreline trail, and old man's beard last Monday (not enough time for the best stuff). Old man's beard had numerous muck spots that were churned to goo. I walked around these spots not wanting to make the situation any worse and wanting to preserve access to Moore creek/Lake Hennessy. I did not ride the other wonderful new trails but it is clear that the greatly increased usage in Moore creek and the water seeping from the hills mean stay home or ride elsewhere.Don’t see any recent Moore Creek reports on TF. Thank you for this update. I did end up riding there the other day. Your report on Old Man's Beard is what I saw there as well, particularly the flat connector section with Conn Peak which was a muddy disaster. That part of the trail seems like it might need a redesign in terms of drainage.I rode the connector, the shoreline trail, and old man's beard last Monday (not enough time for the best stuff). Perhaps another week without rain will dry Moore creek out but it is not a good place to ride right now,
Any one else got beta on valentine vista, cohn peak, whisky ridge, etc.?
If you have to ride there, walk around the mud messes no matter how tempting they are. Don't walk right next to the trail; go widely around so the trail doesn't get widened.
