This is my first time posting on this forum. I have been a guest many times and find that most of the feed back is great.

I have an 05 fly, but was wondering if the mono would be better for free riding. I ride northshore type trails. Lots of drops and skinnys.

I only run one chainring up front. Both bikes will pedal well with the xtd. I just don't know how the mono will handle.

Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The Mono handles terribly at slow speeds due to the headangle. It is a DH bike and ment to go fast. It would work as a FR bike but you have the correct weapon already.

I have an 03 fly with the xtd fork on it, which makes it fairly slack head angle. I would think the mono (which is designed for longer forks) would handle similar to my setup. Works good going fast or slow for me.

If you want the mono, get it!
