Hey all,

I'm taking a trip to CO in about two weeks, and the centerpiece of that trip was supposed to be riding Monarch Crest. Unfortunately, I've heard that there's still quite a bit of snow up there. Has anyone been up that way recently? Do you think the trail will be rideable by July 1st?

I have the option of moving the Monarch Crest ride to the end of my trip (about a week later) to give the snow more time to melt. Is there so much snow that a week won't make a difference, or should I re-schedule?

Give them a call, too. I'm sure someone has been up there since the 6th.

I'd guess there's still BIG snow up there. I'd move the Crest to the end and hope for the best. This hot weather can do wonders in a week.

I rode Rainbow today, good to go, dusty. Monarch still has snow on it, but it is melting fast.

Took a motorcycle ride by there today and it didnt look like much snow was up there at all from my vantage point on the road

The 3 traditional snow drifts are there, man the stuff is melting FAST!

Rode it Sunday the 3rd. Still snow within 25 feet of the trail, but it's riding good. I highly recommend it.
