Momentus on his Moment and Me on the Helius FR, were at the trail carpark of Woodhill at 6.45 in the AM... Was peaceful, one other car there, so we had the forrest to ourselves...

The Helius FR was a blast, am really liking it and am far more used to it... Momentus is rocking on the Wotan clad Moment. The Wotan is a stella fork.

The Talas is an amazing fork, blows me away, well not litterally, but you know what I mean....

Its all good, real good...................

Uncle C, Momentus is correct, is a total more or less sand based forest. Which is perfect really for a high rainfall area like Auckland... But in the real dry times, it can get a little dubious traction wise... I had forgotten re riding in the real dry sand....

Overall though it is a great all weather area. The old astro turf is great for the landings, helps keep the job consolidated so to speak...

Have just arrived in San Diego... Jeff Jones and Aqua are out riding, I am sitting in Starbucks about 1 mile from my Jones, so am excited to say the least....

yeah a flash can help a lot..... I have a "Sigma DG 500 Super" that I am not using much... maybe I will sell it (although works fine as a 2nd flash to my 580EX :p)

on a related flash note, I was shotting at my friend Esteban's wedding and he has the canon infrared flash trigger, with which I fired both mine and his 580s....that was a lot of fun and created some really nice shots.....
