Greetings all.

Just want to share some pictures of the SST2 moment as its rare to see them as frame only.
Do let me know if you want specific info or pictures of it. I will be more than happy to find it for you as the frame will not be built any time soon. :cryin:

For info, the frame is nickel in size small.

What are the bracket/tabs on the bottom bracket for and what type of bottom bracket does it take?

hammerschmit, chain guides, ect.

Well worth the added weight, and long overdue! :)

Finally had the time to weigh the frame. Its with RP23 shock but no headset or seatclamp .
My usual weighing scale was busted so...sorry for the unconventional method.

Wow that is pretty light. the listed weight is a half pound more.

Looking forward to seeing it built and seeing how light the final build is. Impressed so far though.

was the blue Moment your previous bike? I have an older moment and am thinking about upgrading to the new SST2. Any thoughts on how they compare to the older versions?

Hi! I want to ask what is the Spec of your Nuke Proof Ti Spring? What was the Free Length? Thanks!

I'm planning to also get my Moment a Nuke Proof Titanium.

Oops...I just saw your question! TBH, I am not clocking enough riding time to give a conclusion.

My initial impression with the new SST2 frame is that I can go down hills faster in a more controlled manner.
However, climbing seems to be tougher even though there are more traction - reasons could be, I haven't been riding and the slacker and higher (at least this is what i feel) headtube.

Other differences I found are - shorter top tube, a less responsive handling, a stiffer rear end and .....RC4 shock is not compatible with water bottle mount :madman:

Overall, the MK1 feels like a beefed up XC bike whereas the SST2 feels like a beefed up trail bike. I'm glad I upgraded from mk1 to SST2 as it suits my riding style better.

BTW, the frame is black. not blue
