I was just looking to enter this race the other day. Am I correct that sign-up is not open yet??

sorry I did not answer the question. did you try googling it already?
The elevation profile will not be listed on their site. It's something the promoter does not like to post and will allow him to tweak the course as needed(or so I've heard). With that being said you might be able to find some gps files that show the elevation profile if you search hard enough. I will tell you from first hand knowledge that there are no major climbs, but the course is constantly going up and down. It's rolling hills forever. Plus there are a couple of short steep gravel hill to kick you in the bad spot :)

Registration has not been opened yet as far as I know. Keep checking their site for the registration to be posted. I'll be back for year #3. Honestly - it's probably the best race I've ever done. It's just a beautiful course and very entertaining. I can't wait for this year!

you are doing all the leadman events too?? how hard is the marathon and 50-miler to get minimum times?
Why am I now thinking about adding this race to my schedule for this year... :D
Because the Mohican is the best race ever! You know it...
Gettin Psyched! This will be my first time at the Mohican. heard so many good things about it.

This will also be my first SS hundie. Anyone have any gearing suggestions? I was thinking 32x18 on a 26er
is the Mohican chill for sign-up or does the solo male geared class fill up in like an hour??
Valley Stream road is the worst thing ever. Get ready for it.
How many miles in is Valley Stream Rd.?
 There's nothing horrible in the Mohican course. Even the steepest climbs are very short. It's all good. Actually the hardest part is to not blow up pacelining on the railroad bed.
Curious about gearing as well for SS...did Leadville at 32 20 and it worked out well. No elevation here so i'm curious how that will work out? Any suggestions?

Probably a mile tops, but it's pretty much like riding up a wall.

SM100 gets the nod on this coast but to be honest the Mohican is way more fun. Wish it was latter in the year to get in shape for it.

As far as nothing major. That is true but there are some very serious steep things that will make you go blind. They are short.

The only thing you need to know about this race is when you get back to the campground the race is not over. You think you are done and then they turn you left and up series of 3 or 4 really steep climbs before you loop around and back down into the camp.

It was one of those hills where the race was one/lost last year. JB and JS were going at it really hard through there.

I was going to do this race this year just for fun, but instead I am doing the Sierra race instead, as it will be closer for me this year :)
