The rollers on the rim drive model are contoured on the sides, so they'll still get traction/friction. I tried using my Mavic disc rims and it worked fine. :thumbsup:nspace said:

I figured because I am running a mtb, it would be more quiet with the rim drive, my only concern is that I have disc rims, so there is no flat machine brake wall. Will the rim drive still work for this type of rim or am I better to go with the other type that puts resistance on the tire?
Thanks!
