I know that Shimano says that their mineral oil has special high temperature properties.
Has anyone had any problems running normal, grocery store-bought mineral oil in Shimano disc brakes?
Thanks.

I run "light" mineral oil in my brakes and have for years with no problems.

In the pharmacy I deal with there are two types of mineral oil, light and heavy. The light looks to be a similiar viscosity to Shimano oil.

What exactly is ""light"" mineral oil? I'd like to find a substitute that is more widely available than shimano oil.
