I've already Googled and got the Cyclingcrowd link

but I don't believe that is the actual source. It looks to be the germ of the subsequent discussion but not the original point of publication.

If I believed it was the source I wouldn't have asked. Give me some credit here guys.

He should get together with my ex-wife who threatened to call CPS because I was endangering my son by taking him on the back of the tandem.

I read his postings 14 years ago. That was enough.
It's like the old joke- the kid asking his dad- "dad, why didn't Noah kill both flies when he had the chance?"

You shoulda deleted this thread when you had the chance. :p

Bad Role Modelling

Mountain biking also provides very bad role modeling for our children. Whether or not a bike is ever ridden off-road, any child looking at one will get the impression that it is used to tear up wildlife habitat, and that this is okay.
I am ending my 3 year association with Norcal HS as a head coach, because whenever build and repair trails with my team, I didn't realize that I was actually tearing up the wildlife habitat.

I think I am going to become an equestrian coach because horses actually pack down the earth with their hooves.
