Hey all! I am thinking of buying a mid 90's Giant Rincon for $115. The owner said he just did a tune up and replaced the rear tube. He is my neighbor so i trust the bike is working properl . Is this a good price for the bike? I added a couple pics of it so you can see it. I am going to be using it for trail riding and bikepacking. has a couple scratches but im not worries about it. Let me know what you think. Thanks!!

If you want it buy it---for that price you have no risk--just do not expect to win any DH races on it---could be a good town bike

I am going to be using it for light trail riding and bikepacking as well. Do you think it would work well for that?

I do not----I would not load that bike up and ride off road---but to go get coffee it would be great-----looks in good shape but it is not really an off road rig

That would be a fine bike for tooling around the local bike paths and easy trails, or a neighborhood errand runner or commuter bike. You'd be pushing your luck with any sort of long distance off-road bikepacking though.
