We are riding the passportes de soleil at the end of june. passportes site (quick summary: 80km and 6000m downhill with 12 lifts )
And now I want to suit up with some heavy duty rubber. I know a 2.5 Comp16 fits my fox vanilla, but for the rear fit I'm coming to the homers. Will the 2.5 comp 24.1 fit my 5spot?

If I remember right, this has been brought up before and the concensus is that the Spot will fit a 2.7" tire...barely.

If the tire fits thru the Vanilla's arch, it should fit thru the linkage with no problems. I ran 2.35 Nevegals (knob width of 2.39" according to Shiggy's site) with plenty of room, so a 2.5" tire should be no problem. You might get a little chain rub in the granny gear, but it should be an annoyance more than an issue.
