Another one from irresponsible drivers.....
Our Female Track Silver Medal at Athens 2004, Belem Guerrero was slightly brushed by a dumper truck while she was training on-road yesterday. The consequent fall caused her a broken collar-bone.
While she was operated on her collar-bone today, reducing the fracture with a Titanium plate, and she's ok; she's pretty much out from the Track World Championships next April at France.
Her history is the one of a real cinderella, coming from a very humble family from one of the poor neighbourhoods of Mexico City. Earning everything she has as many of our sport figures by hard work and basically without no support from the government or sporting authorities in Mexico.
My heart goes to her... I'm so angry that I'm almost into tears... why? Is that hard to drive a freaking vehicle safely?
Sorry, I just wanted to share it with you.
