.... and I may be able to bring the bike. Who are the locals around Vegas? Any of you hep cats willing to show a NorCaler around after work?

Locals:

E!, Redmon, jmitchell, mattbikeboy, and myself. I havent met the others yet but theyre out there. When do you plan on coming down? Im always up for a ride so give us a shout when youll be in town.

Been to vegas before Pimbot? We put rides together with visitors all the time. Just give a shout when your coming,

Just revive this thread about a week before you come and one or all of us can show you around. Just let us know how long and how technical you like it.

I'm going down there from the 24th - 26th. We are staying on the central Strip (Bally's). Are there any bike shops around there within easy walking distance? Preferably with a good assortment of Surly cyclocross bikes.

You'll be outta luck on that. I think the closest shop to the strip is Mcghie's on Sahara. I don't know if they rent bikes though. If you can make it out further(ie bootleg or cottonwood) give a holla!
