I want to replace my rear DT axle with bolt on one, I like the the look and security (torque to spec) of these axles. On the newer 2022 Santa Cruz bikes the rear axle looks to be 173.7mm in length, Sram makes a axle that may fit, however, its 174mm. Would this fit? or cause issues? The UPC is: 710845856112

I would purchase a Burgtec but I cant seem to find a shop in the USA that has one. Other suggestons would be welcome.

Oh the 2022 is different? I asked Santa Cruz a while back about this and my 2020 Hightower.

They sent me a diagram of a burgtec axle M12x1 thread pitch, 15mm of thread and 168mm total length. 168 is from the end of the shaft to the other. Not including the bolt head portion. 142/148 spacing.

I ordered a replacement but I cannot remember which size stealth maxle. I ordered a few. Sold the bike too so I can’t look.

Edit: looks like whatever I ordered had a 20mm thread length and it worked fine.

Robert Axle Project is another good option.
I've got two or three of these -- darn good axles and made in Bend, OR.
I occasionally ride with the couple that owns RAP -- terrific folks.
