So I have a 29er project in the works that I will be using a DA 7900 rear derailleur w/ a 10t pulley. I plan on running a 11-32 xx cassette. If range was not an issue I would run 25-41 rings. I want to keep the small ring 25t or 26t. I would like to run the biggest big ring possible. I know what shimano "recommends" but has anyone actually tested a 7900 to max range?
I ask because I have used a DA 7800 rear with a 11-32 / 29-42 and it will make all the gears but the upper pulley kinda pinches the chain on the rear 34t and 36t and makes a bit of noise. thanks
