Hi all,

I have been thinking about upgrading my wheels to a Mavic XM819 with XT hubs and standard spokes and nipples. So a few questions arise:

-What are people's experience with that kind of setup?
-What is the difference between the two types of XT hubs? (Centerlock and standard)
-What would be a decent price for the setup?
-Any wheel builders selling online that you guys can recommend would be great...

One difference in hubs

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

The difference between the 2 types of hubs is one (centerlock) uses a shimano-specific attachment style for the rotor, meaning that it will have to be a shimano centerlock disc. The 6 bolt style is open to any type of rotor (Hayes, Avid, Magura, etc.). So be careful about which hub you choose. One can limit your brake options.
