I weigh 220 lbs.
I need the firm or extra firm for an 80mm z2 race.
I found this one on ebay:
k=6, 5 - 8, 3 travel 80mm red mains and small blue spring.
Cod.900631

How the hell do you translate that?

This pdf file has info regarding Marz springs.

I just bought spring number
850660/C
from Bikewagon on Ebay for $10. He described it as

80mm
Spring K=6, 5-8, 3
850660/C
Hope this helps
Cool, thats the same guy I bought mine from.
Only I dont see a part # anywhere on the package.

So where does the second blue spring go?
That site only mentions it aids in assembly.
The stock setup has a single spring on each side.

Thank you for the info.

Stock = 1 spring, Heavy & Extra Heavy = 2 springs

When you pull out the stock medium springs, you will notice it is longer than the long red spring in your package, but when you place the blue spring on top of the red spring, these two springs will equal the length of the stock spring. They go into the legs the same way, small blue on top of the longer red.

This is called a "dual rate" spring set up. It is suppose to give it a plusher feel I believe.

good luck

Sorry to hijack the thread a bit, but when you say place one spring on top of the other, is there any type of washer in between, or do you literally place one spring directly on top of the other? I have a situation where I have a 110mm travel Z1 BAM that has two top out springs stacked on top of each other. I was wondering if I could add one of these top out springs on top of the main springs, giving the fork 130mm. Something like this:

Current setup
//////////////(main spring) /// /// (2 top out springs)
Proposed setup
///////////// /// (main spring + 1 top out spring) /// (1 top out spring)

I hope this makes sense. Otherwise, I guess I have to buy a 130mm spring.
Thanks
BK

No Washer

Speaking of the Z2, there is no washer between the springs. You simply place the main spring, then the smaller spring on top of it.

If you do a search for frakenfork or fraken fork, you will see discussions on how different individuals have modified the Z1.

Looking at your diagram, do you mean moving the one of the negative travel springs at the very bottom of the fork leg to the top of the main spring?
