I'll be building up a new frame pretty soon and I'm looking into what fork I should get. It'll be on a bike with 4 inches of rear travel that I'll be using for everything from all mountain riding, to freeride, to cross-country. I love 'zocchi's and I was looking at an '04 Dirt Jumper III. I like the 110mm of travel and the fact that I can get one $240. So basically I'm looking for a fork that can handle 5-6' drops and not be a b*tch to pedal. Is this the right fork?

maybe

It will handle the 4-6 drops fine. The fork is not plush and would suck on xc stuff. When I go though like a rock section small 4-6" stuff it can be jaring my vision gets blury. I use it mostly for DJ and urbin and it it great but that is what it is intended for. I only run 5psi in it. To get to 4" I really have to bang it around, usualy get 3" thats off loading docks. I realy would not get it for a FR bike. The price is nice but I would spend more or get something in an 03 or in october or so get an 04 when price drops. Get a z1 or an answer fork, although all I have had sence 99 in a marzocchi.

No, as elvis pointed out, it is not the right fork for what you describe. You have some very specific primary and secondary requirements in your post. You should do a lot more research before you decide. Start with the manufacturer's websites, where many of them will tell you what the primary use of their fork is, along with secondary applications. After you find several that are designed for the types of riding you plan on doing, you can start eliminating them one by one based on features (adjustable rebound/compression, air or coil, SPV or not, adjustable travel, etc.) and of course price. Once you have it narrowed down to a handful, read the reviews here and then hit the posts for some final advice.
