Ouch, nice carnage...I'd recommend the Crank Bros Mallet's since your going to be shopping for new pedals.
Yup. I've seen bike parts break too - including 959's. ATAC's have worked for years and years for me reliably and sturdily. Oh, and weigh a lot less than 959's, oh - and don't gunk up in the wet/clay/sandy crud around here instantly like 959's do.sandan said:I've seen that happen before, suc-ks, 959's take a licking and keep on clicking<S. 959?s=""></S.>
I did the exact same thing to a pair of mine this summer. Going fast downhill and trying to pedal through a bunch of rocks.shiggy said:I always thought that could happen with ATACs but it is the first time I have seen it.
Yeah right!!!sandan said:I've seen that happen before, suc-ks, 959's take a licking and keep on clicking<s. 959's=""></s.>

Had started the day on Moore Fun and then rode out Mary's and did Horse Thief. On the way back out Mary's I was hauling ass trying to catch my friend. Came blasting out of the last really rocky section right before the dirt when I saw the rock in the middle of the trail. I was heading right for it but missed it with the front wheel and thought I was in the clear when I made contact with the pedal. Smashed it right in two.
..and I would recommend NOT any eggbeaters product...unless you like inconsistent engagment and lots and lots and lots and lots of cleat wear.pm55 said:Ouch, nice carnage...I'd recommend the Crank Bros Mallet's since your going to be shopping for new pedals.
