Marta SL Brake Lever Problem

I just received my new set of Marta SL brakes. The front lever and caliper went on fine and they have a firm feel at the lever. When I installed the back set the lever felt spongy and wouldn't return all the way out. At first I figured that there was air in the system somehow. After careful bleeding there was no improvement. It was then that I noticed that the lever was not returning all the way out due to, what appears to be, a problem with the set screw on the front of the lever. Problem is that it is impossible to lossen or tighten that screw. it feels like it was somehow locked in at the factory. I didn't want to strip out the 2.5 screw so I stopped at that point. It appears that the lever is moving around too much when looking at the engagement on the bottom of the unit as compared to the front unit. Has anyone on the list experienced this problem and if so what was the solution?

Thanks! :(

Hmmm. I have never heard of that. I have the regular martas. I would call Magura. They have great customer service. I had to get a replacement master cylinder. They didn't even ask me to send the other one back. They just sent me a replacement. No questions asked. They're great brakes and I haven't really had any problems with them. Others seem to be. Maybe I was lucky.......but give Magura a call.
Sent an e-mail to Jimi at Magura USA and he got back to me pretty quick. He had me sand down the bushing on the lever a little bit and re-install it in the lever. Seems to work fine now

Great! Glad that your problem seems to be fixed.
