I'm hitting my local loop tomorrow - Marshall Mesa, etc, from Louisville - at about 2 tomorrow afternoon. If anyone's interested in hooking up for a nice xc loop say the word!

things that make you go "hmmm"

post up your route here... i might be able to meet you depending. i'd be coming up from golden and either starting off the TH at 128 (don't know the name) or the TH across from the gas station at eldorado (guess i don't know that name either).

mr. redstone-- what might be your hours in the shop tomorrow "just in case". ;)

I'm thinking about 2, 2:15, m eeting somewhere near the Old Chicagos/Superinferior Liquormart. It's about a 16 mile loop from there, very xc, a bit of road, some gravel, some trail. My ss is still down, so I'll be on the Intense which is a bit of overkill for the loop, but hey, it's a ride, and it's what I can squeeze in!

Sounds good.

(your hardtail is better suited for this ride, fwiw, but ride what you want!)

When I rode this on Thursday, the High Plains leg was closed. Was it open this weekend?

This is an enjoyable run for being close to town and at low enough elevation to be ridable most of the year.

It's still closed.

[noob]

Where is the High Plains leg? Is it open seasonally?

It's the lower-left blue line in the map above.

I haven't been on it, but it looks like a single-track link to go from the end of Coalton road/trail to the southern end of the Greenbelt road/trail. You can just ride the pavement (128?) for this stretch, it's got a nice shoulder, to the Greenbelt parking area and reenter the trail system there.
