I'm 5' 11" and have a 32.5 inch inseam. My old bike, a 1996 Trek 930, measured 19.5" for the seat tube measured center to top and 23 inches for the top tube measured center to center, I used a 100mm stem and had to slide the seat all the way back to feel comfortable. I've previously had a "large" AMP Research B4 that had a really low front end and was too light for my weight (250). I am getting back to riding and will soon be buying a GT Marathon Elite. Here is the link (http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product_10053_10052_522972_-1_202311_10000_202315). I will be using it as my "one" bike on the local trails and in rides such as the Pedal to Padre, a 26 mile ride to the beach, Mountain bikes can be pretty quick on street tires.
Since I can't ride the bike beforehand, what would be the right size for me? I'm leaning more toward the large, but I've heard that the Marathons are somewhat oversized. Any help would be appreciated.
