Does anyone know if the Romic springs will fit a Manitou Swinger 4 way? That is, the inner diameters, are they similar/same? I know fox and Rockshox springs are similar but too small for a Swinger.

Or if anyone has a Romic, can you please measure the inner diameter of your spring?

You all can probably guess I have a swinger and need a heavier spring. Romic makes em up to and I think over 700 lbs. Manitou only goes to 550.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Fox and Manitou both use 1.37" I.D. springs. Romic uses a larger 1.5" I.D. size. Fox makes some VERY stiff springs, so I don't think you would have any trouble finding one. Look through the classifieds here and ebay for a bargain, or look at Cambriabike.com. MRP also makes aftermarket springs for Fox/Manitou.

Just found out the hard way, the way I was trying to avoid that FOX and MANITOU springs are DIFFERENT inner diameters. FOX springs WILL NOT fit Manitou Swinger shocks. The fox springs are 32 mm inner diameter and Swingers are 37 mm inner diameter.

I just tried the fox spring I ordered. I guess I'll be selling it on Ebay since there's a restock fee for returns on these.

Thanks anyway for the attempt. Not sure if your info was old or for another manufacturer other than Manitou. But as the measurements of inner diameters go, the ROMIC springs, if they are infact 1.5" or 37.5 mm, will fit the Manitou.
