Looking for advice from the manitou contingent.

Are the lowers compatible between different wheel sizes? Im looking at getting a bike with 29er marvel comps and have just seen a second hand 27.5 marvel pro listed (both non boost). Can I get the 27.5 to get the better air spring and damper for the 29er or just simply swap over the lowers? Or am I better off just buying the abs damper new?

2007+ non boost are all the same spacing and stanchion length. Bigger wheels mean longer shafts and longer lowers. Some early lowers had 10mm bolt holes, later were 8mm. Early lowers didn't have brace clearance for 1.5" steerers but later did.

27 to 29" will be approx 30mm longer shafts. You can extend the air-shaft but the damper shaft will likely need a longer one.
