i have a manitou black that came on my 02 sugar 4+. i havent done any maintenance on it besides the occasional m greese. what all do i have to do to tear it down and clean/maintain it? why type of tools/supplies do i need. the owners manual is pretty crappy. any help would be great.

Download the service instructions from Answer's website (http://www.AnswerProducts.com).

Maintenance is as simple as cleanining and regreasing the lowers and topping off and/or changing the oil in the damper.

For the lowers, I plug the holes in the bottom of the lowers, pour a little simple green in, and use a bore brush (actually, it's the brush that comes with the Camelbak cleaning kits) to scrub the old grease and any grime out. Rinse. Dry. Lube with Slick Honey. Reassemble.
