I need summer weight SPD compatible mtb shoes with good walking/slipping/hopping/stumbling traction. I prefer lace-up with strap or straps only styles.

Today I fell (again) because a shoe slipped badly in a dry rocky section. You know, I stalled and had to put a foot down, then the foot slipped and I went down. Very annoying.

I was wearing my 661's with rock hard plastic soles. I need a sole with more grip.

Help an old man out!

check out some reviews for the sidi spider srs. They may wear out fast due to a soft rubber replaceable sole, but i do not have mine yet to tell you if this is true or not. I am looking forward to my first pair of sidi shoes.
