They are listed on Mammothmountain.com/mymammoth Click on the Trail Status tab in the center of the page.
yeah, seen that. The marketing dept likes to get ahead of them selves so I gave up believing them a while back.
Looking for on the ground reports on trail openings and conditions if possible.

just a thought, but has anybody actually thought to call the lodge and ASK?

I know we're all internet dependent nowadays but actual personal communication via telephone is still acceptable.

My friend was up there last week, said only 2 trails were closed for snow, everything else is open.

He did off the top to beach cruiser(major beginner on a rented bike), so i know the entire back is open.

I am heading up end of August.

IT'S NOW TIME TO GO RIDE MAMMOTH!

Lots of trails officially opened last week.

Some are prime, other need a some trail work.

Velocity, Techno, Upper Shock Treatment, Shotgun, Bullet, Brake Through, Flow, Juniper, Timber Ridge, Follow Me, are open/rideable.

Several more trails are rideable but haven't seen the opening trail work yet-still have huge run off ruts and features that need rebuilt or maintained.

Much of the usual pedally stuff is good now too.

I was there today. Lots of stuff open and in pretty good shape. Maintenance crews were out working on some sections. Still some stuff closed though. Skid Marks is closed, which makes it tough to get to a handful of trails on that side of the mountain. I can't remember the names of everything, but I think Chain Smoke, Pipeline, and Techno Rock were closed. 7 Bridges was closed also. Everything right under the lower Gondola is closed, but they were doing major work there. I think, except for maybe Skid Marks, the closures were for maintenance. I'm going to guess most of it will be open for the weekend.

This is the week when most things will get opened up.

Loving the paver berms from the past few seasons. They are finally working on putting an end to the flow and speed killing blown out flat turns on many trails.

Here's the latest from the Mammoth blog:

The bike park trail crew has continued to put in tons of hours to open more trails and features. By Saturday, we will have 30 of 36 trails open with more than 60 miles of singletrack. There are four, new paver turns this week -- two on Off the Top and two on Techno Rock. Bearing Straits, Gravy Train, DC-10 and Bridge the Gap are all scheduled to be open and ready to ride by Saturday (7/24/10). The Mountain-X track is currently under construction and should be ready to ride this weekend, too! Techno Rock will also be open sans detours.

I'll be at the park for the next three days.

Just go back yesterday from Mammoth & had a great 3 days on the mountain.Rode skid marks, off the top, upper shock treatment, lower shock treatment, richter, lincoln express, break through, flow, shotgun, velocity, techno rock, mountain x & bullet. On skid marks where the trial starts on the top you have to go straight on the hiking trail (super steep, rocky & soft)to bypass the huge sheet of snow on the south east side. Also where upper velocity starts there is a snow section you have to cross which is about 50 yards long.Hit up TechnoRock for the first time & hit everything the first run,not too hard just looks super gnarly!!! At the bottom they have the Mountain-x course which was super fun that links into Techno.Beat up the old M1on Friday & broke the misalignment spacer & bolt on the rear shock lower.Hit up the hardware store & found a bolt that would work, replaced it & rode two more days abusing it & held up great.Chain smoke is still closed & DC-10 opened sunday but did not get a chance to ride it due to the thunder storm & the gondola closing abount 1:00 on Sunday.Monday morning got up, packed up & rode the lower rock creek trial for a great ending to the weekend.

Rode there Monday. As mentioned Skid Marks was open but with detours.
Closed trails were Upper Velocity, Toll Road, Seven Bridges, Ricochet, Trail Home and Chain Smoke.
There were t-storms up there on and off. We got lucky and missed the bad weather. Rain/lightning will close the gondola to the mid mountain and to the top until storms clear. The shuttles were running often and were doubled up due to the lift being down at times.

We did Kernville Sunday which is sort of the opposite kind of riding to Mammoth--you're just kinda out there with not too much hand holding going on. At Mammoth you'll get friendly service, a really good map and well marked trails. It's hard to get lost and you just get to sit back and play on a mountain. I really liked it.

Mammoth is riding GREAT right now.

Only bummer is that the past week has seen several days of the gondola being closed due to lightning.

Lots of work has been done on some key transitions off of drops on Techno Rock/Velocity.

Off The Top is seeing more paver berms added.

Key jumps and berms on several trails have been worked back into shape.

4x course is super fun.

Other trails have just been opened and have yet to see much or any work done.

Many of the recent wood features are in great shape. Many of the older wood features could use some attention.

Things are just getting going now. It's that perfect window where the trails are still holding some moisture.

More trails opening this weekend and Stump Alley will be running on weekends too.
