I just bought a bike on Ebay, as i pulled it out of the box i noticed that the pin that holds the Brake pads in place was missing.

Is this a hard part to find, does anyone know where i could find one? Ill hassle the seller, but id like to get this puppy on the road. Thanks
like an odd part to leave off. I'm pretty sure I've got some old ones laying around - If the seller won't send it to you PM me your address and I will send you one.

Thanks i appreciate that, he put new pads on so, perhaps he forgot to put the pin back in, or he droped it and lost and hoped i would not notice or understand that i needed the pin.

If those pins are same as on Julie, I think you can find this thing in any half decent hardware store. It's not special made part especially for brakes, but just normal pin. And such things are so cheap, that it's just not worth sending it in mail. Postage usually costs more then few 10 (or even 100) pieces of that thing in your local hardware store.

Looking at the tech manuals for both the Marta and the Julie, I dont think they are the same, but i will stop by the local hardware store anyway.

Give Magura a call, you never know...

FWIW those pins come with spare pads. Since they're new you're not likely to need them soon though.

Also I wouldn't bother going to the hardware store, they don't look like a common part.

If all else fails (PO and Magura) send me a PM with your address, I'll put a couple used ones in an enveloppe. Just use a bit of blue loctite on the threads and you should be good to go.
