Magicshine Halloween sale (update - dead)

2095 Views 9 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  anga
Until midnight on 10/31. Looks like it's 15% off site wide, and the 15% 'thesweetcyclists' code appears to stack for 30% total. Some pretty reasonable deals with the combined discount.

PS. I got the coupon stacking to work on the magicshine.us site but not on magicshine.com - YMMV.

Update: I guess they noticed my post. Stacking 'thesweetcyclists' doesn't work anymore.:(

Glad you got the stacked discount code (bummer it doesn't work anymore though). For the rest of us "Black-Friday" is just around the corner and if as in the past, discounts should be almost as much your stacked bargain. Considering your experience I'd definitely try stacking any new sales that come up (just in case MS didn't learn from their mistake) so thanks from sharing this!!! Congrats. and enjoy your new light (did you get the new Monteer 8000 with the wireless remote?).

Embarrassingly, I only grabbed a cheap helmet light (MJ-900s for about $50) and then dithered too long thinking about some bigger purchases. I'll definitely be looking at MS (and other lights) come Black Friday, though. Thanks for the tip.
Another update: It seems the code 'mattyactive15' still stacks with the sitewide Halloween 15% off for 30% total on the magicshine.com site (but not the magicshine.us site, go figure). Let's see how long it takes before they read this thread again and shut this one down too.

Cool, thanks for the tip.

I've been debating getting a Monteer 8000 with the remote for a while. Seems like nothing but great reviews. I figured when the shopping season sales came around I'd seriously consider scooping one up. What would be another good magic shine light to pair with it?

Monteer 3500 is Magicshines best thrower. Works great with any high powered bar light. Lighthead only weighs a little over 100g and runs great with a 5000mAh FMA (Hunklee) ebay battery.

Monteer lights benefit greatly from the Vancbiker finned Gopro mounts. The lopro version allows much lower mounting for the 3500 on your helmet and the 8000 will have about 400 extra lumens of stable output since it's always running in thermal protection unless very cold.

Hate to trouble you again Mole.
What is a FMA (Hunklee) battery?

Rechargeable Protected Li-Ion Battery 7.2v 5Ah 50E for LED Bike Light Flashlight | eBay

Link is for the one I recommend as a combo for the 3500 because it's light enough to be mounted on a helmet. If you need more capacity for longer runtimes they have those too. These are just the battery so some sort of mounting strap or bag will be needed unless your running an extension cable to your hydration pack.

Thanks Mole. It is not often that I ask one person so many questions or learn so much from one person.
