M985 Levers with Older Calipers?

Anyone tried a set-up yet with M985 levers with M765 or M775 calipers? Should work with the right hose and fittings, right? I'll give Shimano a call later today.

FYI - Called Shimano this afternoon, and got the thumbs up in terms of compatibility.
Brilliant, I'm intending to hack together some M775 calipers and 988 levers (cheaper than the old XTR levers, what were the odds?!). Or maybe some M575 levers instead, I quite like those and they dont have any funky servo wave variable geomety pivots.

Good to hear Shimano gave you the green light, update when you're done please!

FYI - As an option, the M985 Race levers are non-Servo-Wave as well.
