What would be a better shock for the M3 and why (DHX or 6-Way)? I hear great things on this board about the DHX so thats what Im leaning towards that but I was wondering if one of them was a better match for the frame because of SPV or whatever.

A buddy of mine has an m3 with a swinger on it. It feels great. I've got one on my uzzi with no complaints either.

That said, you seem to be able to get away from that over damped feel a little easier with a fox. Plus, I think they're an easier company to deal with should anything happen.

I'd be happy with either though.

Thanks for the feed-back. I guess what I’m looking for is a little feedback of what the characteristics of each are for a comparison or what sets them apart except for the fact one is Fox and one isn’t. I know the 6-way uses SPV, does Fox use a similar technology or something else that’s better? I have a 6-way now and it has treated me well except the one time it had to be warranteed and they sent a whole new shock in less then 2 weeks. So I’m not so concerned about which offers better support because I think they are both great.

the fox is going to be much more sensitive to small bumps.....

DHX has shim stack damping (can be custom tuned for you) and is controled by boost valve pressure (increase/decrease leverage/damping ratios) instead of SPV. Has propedal for anti pedal bob and a bottom out circuit.

You call, either is sick, i really want to replace my 4 way with a DHX....

I ride an M3 with a 6way Swinger. So far it's amazing, I probably would have opted for the DHX when I bought it to try something different (I've had Swingers for a while on other bikes) out of curiosity since I haven't really ridden any Fox since the VanillaRC but of course I forgot to specify. :p Despite that I love my swinger, I'm still getting it setup but thus far it's awesome. So out of that respect I guess I can't really compare it to a DHX. :)

So really there's no way to go wrong with either shock.
