I thought I would show off a recent build for a customer of ours (Bikes Etc - Bossier City, LA) as well as get the word out now that we have "officially" launched our Pro29 Lefty and field any questions you may have. This particular bike was built up with ultra endurance racing, Leadville in particular, in mind and has custom top tube cable routing. The customer wanted something light, fast, efficient, and reliable; we achieved all of that and came at 20lbs for the complete build with a large frame! Highlights include a Sram XX build kit, Industry Nine XC 29er wheels, carbon Lefty w/ DLR, and a Lynskey Ti post. The only real weight wennie parts are the Stans Raven tires.

The Pro29 Lefty comes stock with a Lefty headtube and a BB30 bottom bracket shell. Click here for more details. Now onto the eye candy...

Hey Mike,

That is a SICK build. So here is some additional bike porn. You will notice the bike is in the house, this is due to the 28 inches that were dropped on us the day I picked up the new ride. I've been riding it through the house, it's making me crazy.

Can't wait to get this thing in the woods.

Matt

What crankset do you have on there?

These are both nice builds for the Lefty/BB30 Pro29, but mine is gonna be prettier than either of them. Mike, you should have waited a week to take the glamor shots.

When are we going to see pictures of your build?

Are you traveling down to Santos for the first NUE race?

why making it properietary (and likely heavier headset as well as frame) with 1.5 headtube and not lefty with project 321 adapter?

I think there is a good chance it added stiffness to the head tube.

why wouldnt you? what if rider wants to later even try a tapered fork? i.e., if option, it is the opposite of smart to not do a 1.5

agreed...i almost did that instead of my more AM-ish Lynskey but decided i wanted a different type of bike and yeah, if I wanted a "fast" bike that is THE setup IMHO

to my knowledge the cannondale standard is not 1.5, just close. all you can run with a cannondale headtube standard is lefty or regular 1 1/8 with reducer.

Just waiting on the front hub. Should have everything built up by the weekend.

No Santos. I'll be riding in the snow at P36AR that weekend. I anticipate that the Lynskey geometry will carry up Pisgah trails just as nicely as it rides down them, and hope the bike and I both survive intact.

Warm sunny Florida sounds so much nicer... maybe it's not too late to change my mind...
