With all the 5 Spot & Burner raves thought it was time for some vintage. Finally found a large 02. Sad it wasn't polished or red, but so it goes. Bike came with XCE rockers unlike others I've seen - back side of rockers have been relieved (see photo). So, we've got some custom decals and the following parts:
Fox FLT 100
Romic XCE
Mavic XLs
Yeti post
Extralight clamp
FRM brake levers & stem
Monkey lite bars
Avid stoppers
SRAM X0 & twisters
Profile Design cranks on XTR bb
Chris King headset
Bike is toooo much fun.

Where did you get the rockers?I have a offer pending on some Burner rockers but the guy is waiting for the reproduction run of the Romic rockers.Did you get your V-brake mounts? What does it weigh?
Hope to get weight in next few days. Rockers came with bike. Kind soul is sending me V-brake mounts. Are burner rockers same as XCE rockers?

Burner and Non Romic XCE rockers are the same. They provide 3.5" of travel on the 02,Burner and XCE with a 1.5" stroke shock.4"with the rare 1.75"stroke Fox.Romic rockers provide 4" with 1.5" stroke shock. These are the ones you will see post about Paul from Paul Components is supposed to reproduce in limited numbers.

Beautiful bike, couple questions- is that the new Pure V saddle? I want one! Also, just curious what year the bike is, my buddy had a 2000 large O2 and it didn't have the ST/TT support like yours, his ended up cracking there after 3 hard years of riding.
Thanks. Yes, it is a Pure V saddle and is great! Far better than Koobi it replaced. The frame is a 2003 model, so I am told. Sadly, the seller was less than honest about certain details. I had a 2002 model and the disc brake hanger was bolt on, so this is at least has a later rear triangle. My 2002 also had the ST/TT support. Did notice a couple of differences on the frames between the 2002/2003. The 2002 had a weld line just above the support you mention on the seat tube. It was right where the tube tapered down so it seemed they welded in the tapered part of the seat tube into the main seat tube. 2003 doesn't have this weld. I also noticed inside the bb where the head tube connected the 2002 was solid where the 2003 had a hole in the bb (both had holes going into seat tube). The 2002 also showed the weld inside the bb where the 2003 is smooth, no signs of the outside weld. I've heard the 02s use Easton tubing and here is supposed to be some decal or marking but I didn't see it on either frame. I'm large but ride easy and the 2002 held up for over a year.

Nice looking rig. It's good to know people are still riding and displaying their O2's proudly. If it were called a Nitrous you'd have a ton of replies to this post with people wetting their shorts! :p Take the extra lbs of durability and stiffness the O2 offers and ride it like it's rented! If you haven't found the Easton tubing "decal" yet, you should see it under the paint on the top tube just behind the head tube. FWIW, I thought the O2 model ended in 2002 with the Burner returning in 2003, but I may be wrong about that. Either way it's a great ride! Have fun.
"If it were called a Nitrous you'd have a ton of replies to this post with people wetting their shorts!" LOL! Thanks seasick. You may be right about years as I was repeating what sellers (of both frames) told me. Who knows. As you say, either way a great ride. Thanks for the encouraging comments and humor.
