I will be in the Durango area late this weekend or early next week. Wondering if people could recommend some low elevation (a.k.a hopefully dry and warmer) rides around Durango.

Also any trail recommendations around Cortez or Dolores?

I have one, maybe two days of riding I can get in.

I have ridden all over CO but have yet to ride in the Durango area. Looking for the must do rides, the classic rides. Technical rides preferred but I realize this time of year you take what you can get.

Thanks for the help

Cortez - Phil's World

Check with Kokopelli Bike & Board in Cortez for other rides - good guys

Dolores - Maverick Trail (plus some other stuff)

There are also trails in Farmington & Aztec

It's warm today (47) but I wouldn't count on that for long.

Phil's World will be in good shape, as will Alien Loop just N. of Aztec.
I rode in Horse Gultch this past weekend, snow everywhere, but still good riding.
Like Fork said, ask at the Cortez bike shop, they may know of the conditions in Dolores.

If we get snow before the weekend, all bets are off.
