Loud squishing... squelching... almost creaking noise during the rebound stroke of the fork.

'08 Manitou R7 air fork, brand new.
If I add air, a very small amount of oil is also leaking out from the inside of the shrader valve.

It's louder with more intense rebound resistance and speed.
No sound during compression.

Does anybody have some trouble shooting ideas?
I've released the air while the bike is upside down, the filled back to original pressure, with no change.

Thanks.

Pretty much every fork makes squishy noise on the rebound stroke.
Is it much different than what other forks sound like.

A little oil coming out of the valve when you add/remove air is normal.

It won't have anything to do with the noise, but you may have blown out the small amount of fork oil in the air chamber. If so, add a few cc's back to keep the air piston lubed.

If you have only lost a few drops of oil, you should be good.

It does sound louder than other forks, but perhaps it is just normal noise.

I have probably lost a couple cc's if oil, so I will replace a few just to be sure...
Thanks for the suggestions.

If I find any change I'll post the results.
