I'm trying to decide between the specialized Camber base model and the GIANT Anthem x 3. Any suggestions? Thank you

I would go Anthem for the Better fork/shock and Shimano brakes. I would ride both if I were you though and decide

Not quite sure the difference between XC and trail but will mostly be riding on single track dirt trails. Do have any other suggestions for bikes around the $2,000 range? Thank You

So cal. More hills. I live by mountains in foothills

AnthemX1 here. Can't go wrong. Also live in SoCal and this thing climbs like it has a motor on it.

Better suspension is on the Giant also... Get them on the trails for a test run so you can really get a feel for them.
