I only just recently rode some dirt jumps on a freind's bike and its super fun!

Now i'm looking into starting to ride DJ, but I have no BMX backround what-so-ever.

Looking for a cheaper bike, lots of people have recomended the Specialized P1.

Are there any other good starter DJ bikes?

I have the first version that Dk put out of the xenia, it was called the UX 26. They made like 200 of them just to see how they would sell, of course all 200 sold and they started producing the xenia the next year in 08. I can tell you this, the bike has great geometry, excellent weight, and is solid as a rock.

those DKs actually look pretty nice..

On antoher note I wont completely rule out a dirt jump style BMX either. They have longer frames and are awesome even for street use or light trails

i got a dirt jump style bmx. its a DK too. i got it cheap, but has proven to be amazing. just put in an order for the bars. the only thing is that its a small frame for my height (6'5" on a 20" top tube bike).

so i wouldnt rule out a dirt bmx bike. also think about 24" bikes. its right in between the two. i have never been on one, but they seem to be the best of both worlds.
