By chance does anyone have any pics of these tires mounted? Would they fit on an '07 Reba, or the rear of my GF Rig? I am on Mt. Kings 2.4/2.2 now and wondering what else is out there.smaxor said:Schwalbe Racing Ralph 2.40

Not really, just need larger tire levers and a bit of lube...slocaus said:A little tough to get on my 29er rims, dontchathink?![]()
Details here.Gasp4Air said:According to Shiggy, the Maxxis Ardent 2.4s have a slightly higher volume index (how do you measure that, anyway, Shiggy?) than the WW LTs. Volume is the amount of space inside the tire, irrespective of the tread size. The Ardent also have bigger tread than the LTs. I love my LTs and have Ardents on order.
Shiggy has an official 2.4 Ardent tire!shiggy said:Details here.
The volume index is based on outside dimensions for practical reasons.
Tread width of the Ardent 2.40 is 61.1mm
MK 2.4: 60.5
MK 2.2: 52.3
Casing width/ht 58.7/55.0mm. This was a prototype, not a production tire.BruceBrown said:Shiggy has an official 2.4 Ardent tire!
I've got to mount my Ardent 2.4's up again (took them off for the winter to run the Fire XC Pros) to see if they have "grown" any since last summer.
When mounted brand new on my Blunts with a tube at 40 psi, my tread width measured 60mm and casing 58mm. Shiggy, what did you get for CH (casing height) on the one you measured at 61.1mm tread width?
