I have this strange problem with always getting cut up by the pedal on the back of my leg and not the front. SO, I'm looking for some shin guards that also provide a fair amount of protection for the back of the leg. Mainly looking to prevent getting cut up by the pedal pins.

Edit: I'd prefer shin guards only vs. shin/knee combo.

Any suggestions??

Maybe see if your lbs has your size and try them on there. You could make your own out of an old wetsuit if you could find one maybe at a thrift store. Look for a day glow green bodyglove suit from the 80's, that would be awesome.

I wear the 661 Veggie Shin guards, the ones I have are large, first got the med's but they were too tight at the ankle. I got them because I was cutting my legs on the underbrush on a few of my local trails. After zipping through skinny singletrack my legs got all cut up. The guards changed all that and also helped reduce smashing my shins on the pedals in rough technical sections on some local trails. The back of these wrap around w/ neopreme/velcro fastners. A great investment - been wearing them for 3+ seasons.

I tore up the fronts and backs of my legs below the knee last summer. I got clip-in shoes and a dropped my big ring for a bash guard and all the scabs are healing.

Whats the cause of you injuries?
