Possibly looking to upgrade the old rims on my Cannondale Super V 700. What is a decent resonably priced wheelset? Been out of the loop for a few years, starting to get back into it. Currently running V-brakes but would like a set with disc hubs for the option to up grade to discs in the future.

you cant beat shimano XT hubs when it comes to bang for your buck. a wheelset with shimano XT 775 hubs and mavic 717 or 317 rims and quality spokes could be had for under $300.
