Help out a group of bro's from southern NH.....

A group of us are looking to ride somewhere in the MA area on New Years Day. Weather up here hasn't been too kind, too much snowpack still exists and none of feel like skiing.

What's the terrain like south of Boston (Wompy)? How are the trails down the Cape (ToT, Otis, etc)? How about in the Blackstone Valley?

Let's hear it; I need to get the group together and pointed in the right direction for an early take off Thursday morning! And if you care to join/show us around all the better!:D

Thanks for all the help!

The snow tomorrow will be mostly done by evening. The forecast doesn't look good, but sometimes there is less snow along the coast, storm track can change, etc. As woodyak notes Dogtown in Gloucester is snow free and dry now and is the best choice north of Boston. If it looks rideable, I'll post back late tomorrow.

8" to 10" for the Cape?

They are calling for 8"+ starting midday today, Wednesday the 31st.

Sorry our NH friends; the riding on the Cape has been good as of late.

Snows going to fall real wet down here, then freeze up w/very low temps following,...so maybe studable after the settling? Lets hope amounts are down due to high water content.

Long range forecast, something like slightly warmer, rain etc...so

(time to go skiing):)
