Looking for OC 29ers to test ride

Hey all,
My friend Eric and I would really like to meet up with someone local who own's a full suspension 29er (or a softtail Dos Niner!!!!!). I am 6'2 and he is 6' 7. We really want to buy / build up some 29ers but would love ( LOVE ) to throw a leg over one (or two or three). I'm looking for a shorter travel XC bike (1"-3") and he's looking for something more all mountain (4" - 5").
We ride Aliso Woods 4 days a week and on Saturday go somewhere different in OC all the time. It could be an after work ride, a lunchtime ride (around Aliso Viejo), a morning ride, or a Saturday morning ride.

I know Eric has already had limited email contact with Padre, but hasn't set anything up, so I thought I'd put out a louder call. ( I still want to meet Padre though and ask him what made him stop liking mechanical brakes. Or is it that he just likes hydros MORE now. I'm not trying to be troublesome, I really do want to know.)

Help us, we have money burning holes in our pockets, but really need some hands on research.

Hydro's feel good all the time...they also don't have cables that get dirty...they also weigh less..at least the hydro's i have do.

I have mech's still on my Vulture.

I'm still available for the ride....but i'm SLAMMED with work right now...when things slow down a little...a test ride on my rigs will be more viable for you guys....at least for the tall dude...
If you are into a Niner SIR singlespeed, we could swap bikes. I'm staying in Aliso and have this Thurs. off. You interested? Let me know by pm'ing me. I could also take another bike out. BTW I'm 6ft tall and ride a large.

Bless your hearts. I'm itching to try out Padre's Leviathan and Behemoth. I can't decide which would be a better fit, the 25" or the 23" Zinn versions. It keeps me up at night.
I know whyTony started this thread, once I ride them and decide Tony will be spared an hour a day of me hanging out in his office jabbering about which bike I should get.
I'm 6'7" with a 39.25 inseam. I like the TT length of the 25" bikes but I'm worried that I wont be running enough seatpost. By my guess I'd only be showing about 5 inches of lowerable post on the 25" frames. A test ride would ease allow me to sleep easy before dropping my hard earned coin on one of these fine rides.

Question for Padre. If your house caught fire and you could only save one bike. Your Leviathan or your Behemoth. Which do you choose? (Your single speed has already gone up in flames so it's not a valid answer)

That's an easy question.... the Leviathan....likely due to the fact that I'm a pretty serious XC type these days...the Behemoth is incredibly capable as a climber though..and downright gleeful on the descents...only one option for forks right now though...

p.s. at my height of 6'6 with about a 38.5" inseam, I"ve got about 7" of post showing. Seems you should be fine. It's the TT dept I'd worry about. All will sort itself out when you poke around on it though...
