Looking for flat pedals

Hello. I am looking for a new set of flat pedals for my bike. I am looking for a good bang for the buck pedal, but at the end of the day I value quality over price. What would you buy?

Thank you.

Look at one up pedals. More grip then Chester's and priced good.

Depends on terrain and shoes and how you ride.
If you get off the seat for rocky terrain with weight on your pedals and lower your heals going through that segment you don't need long sharper pins and 5.10 sticky rubber soles to handle the pins.
You can use running or trailrunning shoes with open tread and stubby or shorter rounded pin pedals. Those won't cut up your shins or tear up your shoe soles.
These Wellgo pedals have stuuby pins.
The angle you get by lowering your heels makes it mpossible to be bounced off when you weight them.
These for $20 off Amazon would also work with that technique.
$75 Wellgo. https://www.amazon.com/Wellgo-B184-...7,B008S006O4,B06XCPG3SK,B078RFJ66H,B01IM2JZ1M

I use these slim Origin8s.
I have some composite Kona Wah Wah 2 they work great
I have OneUps, Chesters and Kona Wah Wah 2s. All composite and all good. There are differences between them but with the supply issues we face, I wouldn’t hesitate buying any of them.

That said, the Konas have the largest platform, and the Chesters, the smallest. I don’t find it matters much though. I run the Chesters on my fat bike wearing ginormous Wolvhammers. No issue.

These composites are all $50 to $75. That’s less than a Skip the Dishes delivered, pub fare lunch. Supply is the issue, not cost.

Go with whatever of the 3 are available in your favorite colour 🙂
I'm just making the switch from clips to platforms -- bought OneUp composite pedals for two bikes so far.
Love them.
I'm 6'1", size 48 feet.

My GF rides RF Chesters.
Loves them.
She's 5'2", size 36 feet.

I have a pair of HT flat pedals that are fairly cheap ($80) for aluminum. not as grippy as my daggas but thats ok.
Composites are cheap but ive broken my fair share so i stick with aluminum. Also those oneup composite pedals have a weird convex hump in the middle that i dont like.

I haven’t broken a single pedal, composite or alloy. I’ve ripped out a ton of pins though, as a result of…errr…less than precise riding at times.

Alloy pedals have their downsides too.

That said, I am really jonesin for a set of Daggas. If for no other reason than I am hoping that their bad-a$$ery will permeate the soles of my feet and work it’s way upwards.
I don't like the OneUp pedals' convex shape and I killed the bearings in mine very quickly. I'm running Stamp 7's on both bikes now. These have a larger flat platform.

I use one of the cheaper Stamps... Model 2 or 3... Ended up putting them on both bikes. Pay more for lighter weight Stamps but they're all the same quality from my understanding.

Have DMR Vaults ($150) on my enduro and RaceFace Chesters ($45) on my trail bike. The Vaults I'm using mostly at bike parks, so weight isn't an issue, and it's got longer pins and better grip, plus it's a nicer bike do I like the premium feel and aesthetic (they're the matte black Brendogs which look sick). The Chesters are on my hardtail and I like them for their lighter weight. Not quite as much grip, but the riding is less technical so I don't need it as much. They're great pedals and I haven't read any replies yet but I'm sure others will recommended them too since they're so popular.

I have DMR Vaults on both my HT and enduro, I'm a huge fan. Size 48 shoe and I never feel I don't have enough real estate, and so far they've been bomb-proof (save pins, of course).
