I'm moving up from MD to York PA. I currently have my own spot by my house for 6 years so I'm pretty good when it comes to building. I just need a good spot that's not super far where I can start putting in the work, I don't care if the trails haven't been built in years I just want a spot nearby so I'll have something to build when I go up to York. Does anyone know of any dirt jump spots near there?

Don't know the status of dirt jumps close to York, but Mt Penn has some great lines. In general though, as you probably know, you should check before any builds on established trail systems with whoever maintains the trails. We've lost access to some areas due to rogue building and poorly built jump lines where someone gets hurt.
In the York area, I'd talk to whoever maintains Rocky Ridge and Lake Redman.

Don't know of anything terribly close to York, but there are some jump lines on the west side of the Hersey Medical Center trails, and there's a small bike park in Ephrata.
