Hello all!

I will unabashedly admit that I don't ride bikes too often (I still own one though!), but I am moving to a big city soon without a car and living on all loans, so I'm looking to purchase a new, affordable comfort bike. I need advice however, on the sizing of the bike I'm interested in (Forge Athena). Plus, I'd like the input of some fellow females :)

Links for the two sizes:
17'' frame : http://www.forgebikes.com/athenam.asp
15'' frame: http://www.forgebikes.com/athenav.asp

I'm 5'4'', inseam size 30''
I like the blue bike, I think pink is too girlie for me, but I do want a bike that will fit well. I'm annoyed these bikes are only available online, not allowing me to try them out before I buy. The description of the Athena M (blue) says its fits most people 5'4'' to 5'11'' ... I'm a little worried being on the low end of that range. Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance!

You are the same height as me, and have the same inseam, so I would say you'd most likely ride a 15". The website says the 15" fits up to 5'8". Of course the main thing that is going to determine how the bike fits is the top tube length. Seat tube length doesn't really matter. You can always raise the seat higher. But top tube length is critical when it comes to fit. You would really need to ride them to know for sure, but if you must order without trying it out first, I would go with the smaller one. Also, since you're looking at a comfort bike, I'm guessing you don't have plans to ride great distances, so a perfect fit is probably less critical here. If you do plan to ride a lot or longer distances, I would definitely look at a different bike.
