Hi- I'm headed up to Missoula from 8/19- 8/28 and am looking for a half way decent shop to rent either a hard tail or dualie. Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

mister ... i might be able to help you out. I run a shop just south of Missoula in the small town of Hamilton, come on down for a visit while you are in Missoula....and if you can work it in, sneak out for a ride with us also. The Bitteroots have some of the best riding in the state.

Chad- sounds great. I checked out the web site. I don't see anything about rentals. Do you rent? If not, do you know who does? I'd bring my bike, but as I'm vacationing with my wife and 18 mo. old son, we're already bringing WAY TOO MUCH STUFF. I've never been to Montana before this trip, so I'm up for anything and I'm sure the Bitteroots are cool.

Thank you!

The rental bikes are not listed on the website, but can get you probably either on a softail or a dually depending on what is available and which size you will need. Try to get hold of me soon to let me know what size bike you usually ride, and i'll hold one back for you.

I'm not sure if there is any shops in Missoula that rent.

And personally i know all about traveling with toddlers. I happen to have twin girls that are approx. the same age. We tackled a 24 hour drive out to Nebraska two weeks ago !! Traveling at night was key for that length. GL !

talk soon !

Chad thanks for the info. I've been riding an 18" Santa Cruz Heckler forever it seems, so I guess somewheres in the 18-20" depending on make is where I'm at.

My wife and I went on our first vacation with our son last fall. It was a lot easier then when he was only 9 months old and couldn't walk. I have visions of chasing him up and down the aisle on the way to Missoula.
