Thread title pretty much says it all. Wheels are for a 100 travel fs 29er cross country bike. My weight is a tad over 200, and I ride in the desert. Lots of rocks and sand and gravel and plenty of hard pack as well. I like to ride and climb hard, but am not into jumps or drops over a couple of feet. Looking for wideish wheels that will help me float over the soft stuff, turn in the loose stuff, and still roll fast on hard ground. Budget is around 600 bucks. (Less would be good). Tires will be run tubeless.

So far it's a toss up between Stans Flows:
1950 grms, 29 mm outside diameter, 25.5 inside diameter, 32 spokes..

and Sun Ringle Charger Pro:
1750 grms, 28 mm outside diameter, 22.8 inside diameter, 28 spokes.

Flows have a lower rim depth.

Leaning towards the Charger Pros.

Thoughts and advice? Is there another wheel set I should be looking at as well?

Thanks.

My favorite rims are the WTB KOM. 23mm internam width, 440 grams for a 29er build. With Hope hubs you are looking at around 1600 to 1700 grams depending on spokes. Its the most popular wheel I build for folks. I ride the same wheelset myself and have been super happy with it.
